We are thrilled to present to you this edition of The Cornerstone Connection from Rosenberg Lodge No. 881!
Brethren, please join us in extending our warmest fraternal congratulations to Past Master Meyer, who was officially presented with the prestigious Golden Trowel Award on Friday, April 24, 2026.
As many of you know, the Golden Trowel is the highest honor a Masonic Lodge can bestow upon one of its members. It is not given lightly; it is reserved to recognize a Brother who consistently demonstrates exceptional dedication, outstanding service, and a deep, enduring commitment to the moral principles of Freemasonry.
Throughout his time in the quarries, Past Master Meyer has done exactly that. He has been a steady hand and a faithful servant, consistently working to unite our Lodge and uplift his Brethren.
Thank you, Brother Meyer, for your tireless work, your past leadership in the East, and your unwavering devotion to the Craft. We are incredibly proud to call you our Brother, and we celebrate this well-deserved recognition with you!
Past Master David C. Berndt
Greetings Brethren,
I hope this month’s newsletter finds you and your families healthy, happy, and thriving. As we enjoy the full bloom of spring and reflect on the recent Easter season of renewal, our Lodge is energized and ready for a rewarding stretch of fellowship, ritual, and community involvement.
We have a busy season ahead of us. Please mark your calendars and make plans to join us for the following events:
Tuesday, May 5, 2026 | 6:30 p.m.
Join us for our monthly Study and Fellowship night! Whether you are actively progressing through your degree work, looking to polish your ritual, or simply wanting to share some good conversation with your Brothers, our doors are open. Meaningful fellowship is the glue that binds our Lodge together—come be a part of it.
A Freemason's education in the ritual is a lifelong journey. I highly encourage all Brethren to attend our area's upcoming Committee on Work Forums.
Note: You do not need to sit for an esoteric certificate exam to attend and benefit from a Forum!
These gatherings are invaluable for sharpening your knowledge of the work, gaining fresh insights, and preserving the purity of our ritual. Here is the upcoming schedule for our area:
Saturday, May 23: Park Place Lodge (Houston, TX) – Super Forum, no exam
Saturday, May 30: Northwest Lodge (Spring, TX)
Tuesday, May 19, 2026
You are cordially invited to join us for the Rosenberg Masonic Lodge No. 881 Community Awards Night. Since 1903, our Lodge has been committed to making a positive difference in Rosenberg, and this special evening is our opportunity to recognize and honor outstanding excellence within our local community.
Let's come together for an evening of great fellowship, a shared meal, and the celebration of those who truly make an impact. A strong showing from our Brothers demonstrates our continued support and dedication to the community we serve. Please feel free to invite your family and friends—all community members are welcome to attend!

It is incredibly important that we have a massive turnout from our own membership. Let's pack the Lodge room, showcase our Masonic pride, and prove what excellent hosts we are to the Brethren traveling in from across the area.
